women in leadership

Last week, The Women’s Organisation delivered the final session of the Women In Leadership Skills Roadshow. We had an inspiring few weeks developing the leadership skills of women across the Liverpool city region.

Three of our experienced facilitators took our popular Women In Leadership Skills L2 accredited course to each borough of the city region to connect deeper with women in our local community. We met a wide range of women from different backgrounds, careers, and aspirations.

Throughout September, we went to:

  • Knowsley– Prescot Town Hall

  • St Helens – St Helens Town Hall

  • Sefton – Sefton Professional Development Centre, Formby

  • Wirral – Heswall Hall

  • Liverpool – 54 St James Street

  • Halton – Kingsway Function Rooms, Widnes

The course covers many topics for building effective leadership. This includes exploring leadership styles, holding difficult conversations, how to self reflect, and influencing without authority. Each session, participants came together and created a safe, learning environment where they could thrive and grow. One of the facilitators, Anne Marie Swift, said:

“I am beyond impressed with the women – their energy, enthusiasm, and tenacity in wanting to improve their leadership skills or step into the leadership positions that they deserve was unmatched.”

The Roadshow proved an absolute success and we are happy to see so many women grow their confidence and their skill set to become leaders for the next generation.

If you missed our roadshow, don’t worry! We are running our Women In Leadership Skills training again on Wednesday 1 November. You can grab your fully-funded place here.
