It goes without saying that 2020 has presented HUGE challenges for businesses, and we’ve had to shift, adapt and survive in the toughest of circumstances.  More than ever before trading online has become the go to and while face to face activity became increasingly restricted.

Linkedin has often been the forgotten relative of digital marketing strategy, with many only paying a visit when wanting to recruit or politely accepting connection requests.  However, the power of Linkedin should not be underestimated, especially in these increasingly digital days.

Hubspot reported earlier in 2020 that Linked had reached 700 million active users which makes is a strong contender when it comes to most used internet platforms.  But here are some more crucial metrics to not ignore:

  • 4 out of 5 linkedin users are reported to be key decision makers in their organization (Hubspot)
  • Data shows that the most engaging LinkedIn posts are published on Wednesdays between 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and noon, Thursday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., and Friday at 9 a.m. (Sprout Social)
  • LinkedIn’s lead conversion rates are 3X higher than other major ad platforms, including Google Ads. (LinkedIn)

If we use Linkedin effectively we can nurture long standing relationships more easily, and directly find the right customers, crucially who have the power to say ‘yes’ to our proposal.
