What’s your full name and where are you from?
My name is Heidi Lodge and I live ‘on’ the Wirral
Tell me how you first found out about The Women’s Organisation and become part of our team?
The Women’s Organisation are the delivery partners on the Enterprise Hub programme which I was working on with my previous employer. I communicated with them regularly and got to know a number of their staff ‘remotely’ – it’s lovely to now meet them in person and work alongside them as part of their team.
What kind of things have you done prior to coming to The Women’s Organisation?
I have been a business adviser on the Enterprise Hub programme for 3 years now and thoroughly enjoy being able to support new and potential business owners through the early stages of their business journey. Before that I set up and ran my own business providing Spanish Clubs to pre-school and primary school children on the Wirral, so I understand first-hand the roller coast ride that our clients are embarking on!
What has surprised you about working at The Women’s Organisation?
So far nothing has surprised me, they have met and exceeded all of my expectations and do everything that it ‘says on the tin’
What’s the best thing about working at The Women’s Organisation so far?
I really enjoy the sense of camaraderie that there is in the office. Everyone is very welcoming and helpful – there’s a real sense of team work and an aligned purpose.
What might (someone) be surprised to know about you?
Er….. that I was brought up in Spain and am fluent in Spanish? (Hence the business idea)
What do you do when you aren’t working?
I’m a mum of three teenagers so they keep me on my toes, but I love going to the theatre, particularly to see musicals – I’ve missed it so much over the last 18 months that I’m overdosing on it at the moment!
