Our team is expanding at The Women’s Organisation! Meet the newest members of our Marketing team – Anna & Vicky!

What’s your full name and where are you from?

My name is Annabelle Lauder and I’m from Halewood

Tell me how you first found out about The Women’s Organisation and become part of our team?

I found out about the Women’s Organisation via indeed when I was searching for digital marketing opportunities.

What kind of things have you done prior to coming to The Women’s Organisation?

I studied English Literature in university in Bath and not long after I went to work abroad. Over that time period I was a cleaner, a receptionist, a farm hand and many other things, but eventually I ended up working on the content team for a travel website. After coming home in 2019 I worked as a Digital Marketing Assistant for a sustainable kitchen company. I had always dreamed of working for a social enterprise or non-profit organisation, and that is what finally led me to the Women’s Organisation.

What has surprised you about working at The Women’s Organisation?

Everything! It’s a very innovative and forward-thinking workplace that prioritises the well being of it’s staff which is amazing, and the training opportunities are beyond what I could have imagined. As an organisation that has been around or a long time everything feels dynamic and new.

What’s the best thing about working at The Women’s Organisation so far?

I have loved meeting people from all different places with a diverse range of experiences, and I love that it is such a supportive environment. The training exercises and discussions have opened up my mind already and I’m wondering what I will know this time next year.

What might (someone) be surprised to know about you?

I really love scooters and motorbikes and am hoping to have my own someday soon (but need to learn how to drive a car first!)

What do you do when you aren’t working?

I love art (specifically print making) and I also enjoy a fair bit of knitting. I love walking anywhere and everywhere, the odd cycle trip and generally hitting the bars of Liverpool.

What’s your full name and where are you from?

My name’s Vicky, I’m originally from Wolverhampton and currently living in Southport.

Tell me how you first found out about The Women’s Organisation and become part of our team?

I first came across The Woman’s Org online whilst job hunting. I decided to apply on a whim and the rest is history!

What kind of things have you done prior to coming to The Women’s Organisation?

I graduated from the University of Leicester in 2020 with an English BA. After graduating, I started working in retail as a keyworker throughout the pandemic and balanced that alongside a marketing and campaigns internship. In late 2021, I began a Digital Marketing Apprenticeship but decided it wasn’t for me, but I luckily found my job at The Women’s Org not long after!

What has surprised you about working at The Women’s Organisation?

The thing that has surprised me most is the dog policy! There’s nothing better than coming into work and having a dog running around ready for a fuss!

What’s the best thing about working at The Women’s Organisation so far?

The best thing about working here is definitely the people! Everyone is so welcoming and friendly; it’s been super easy to settle in.

What might (someone) be surprised to know about you?

I’m a huge fan of KPOP and have spent an unreal amount of money on concert tickets and merchandise!

What do you do when you aren’t working?

When I’m not working, I love to cook, bake, keep fit and do yoga! I also love the football, long walks, and history/museums.
