The Nia Black Business Hub:  Positive Action Trainee Business Adviser Post

 

£25,000 per annum (pro-rota over six months of pilot, with intension to extend once funding secured)

 

The Nia Black Business Hub (NBBH) is an innovative pilot led by The Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre in partnership with The Women’s Organisation. It will be the Liverpool City Region’s (LCR) first business incubation and support hub that focuses on supporting potential and already existing Black owned businesses. The NBBH will enable, empower, and encourage members of the BAME community to start and grow their own businesses within LCR. The NBBH, which will be established within the Kuumba Imani Millennium Centre, will provide a range of opportunities including offering business support and incubation as its main priority.

 

We are seeking to recruit a Trainee Business Adviser to support the delivery of the NBBH services throughout the LCR. This pilot intends to confirm and develop our understanding of the multiple complex barriers faced by BAME communities when trying to access business support and advice

 

This role is a positive action post to support the diversifying of the professional business advice and support profile by increasing the number of BAME business advisers in LCR. The post is for the initial 6 month pilot with intension to extend once funding secured.

 

This role will be employed by The Women’s Organisation and trained within their highly skilled business advice team. At The Women’s Organisation we are committed to flexible working and applicants applying for full time or part time posts will be considered.
