In September, we launched The WO Business Academy, where we supported 10 individual women from Liverpool and Merseyside in setting up their business.
From finances to marketing, to confidence and pitching skills, our 4 week course covers all of the hard and soft skills needed to be a successful business owner.
It has been a pleasure to watch these ladies gain their personal and professional confidence, whilst making solid friendships and turning their business ideas into fully fledged business plans! We can’t wait to see what they achieve in the near future.
One of our participants, Roxana, shared her experiences at The WO Business Academy and how we helped her created her Hypnotherapy Business plan.
- Introduce yourself and your business idea!
My name is Roxana and I have joined The WO Business Academy as I needed support setting up my Hypnotherapy Business. My hypnotherapy business is based around a method called Rapid Transformational Therapy or RTT, a life-changing method pioneered by the international acclaimed hypnotherapist Marisa Peer. I chose to train in this method as RTT offers clean, easy, quick, and permanent change in those who are looking to be free of their anxiety, depression and many other issues related to mental and emotional health. It worked for me, for my friends, and now I am ready to offer the same freedom to my clients.
- What has your favourite workshop / course been so far?
I think my favourite course was the ‘Marketing a Business’ session. We learned about interesting topics such as the 7Ps, identifying the right channels for my business model, social media, and SEO.
- What is your favourite thing about the WO Business Academy?
As a first impression, I liked the friendliness, patience, and professionalism I’ve found at The WO Business Academy. It’s a place where we can connect with similar people and it makes me feel that what I want to do is not only possible, but literally necessary in our current times. That’s a big moral push-up.
- How much more confident do you feel about starting your business since joining the Academy?
I was always confident about it, as I have always been passionate about hypnotherapy. It was something with the potential to launch me in a way of life I dreamed of since childhood. However, I had little awareness about where to start in terms of building my business or my target market. Like many professionals that are passionate about their work, my focus is on providing life-changing hypnotherapy sessions, and I’m not that knowledgeable about the logistics or administration. That’s where The WO Business Academy made a huge difference. I feel I have better guidelines to keep me on track and I know where to go to ask for help if I get stuck on my own. That gives me confidence for the future.
- What are your next steps?
Before the end of October, I’ll have a website ready to launch, a communication plan for different channels and my market target, and to just be ready to fully dive into my career. Also, I want to offer free sessions to build my confidence, customer base, and to share my hypnotherapy as much as possible!
