manchester women wellbeing service excelerate labs

Manchester-based business owner and wellbeing coach Megan Kwan always had a passion for helping others. After working in the education, health, and charity sectors for years, she felt overworked, burnt out and suffered from low self-esteem. Whilst on her healing journey, she discovered a gap in the market for a wellbeing service specifically tailored to the needs of women who are prone to ‘people pleasing’ and ignoring their own welfare.

Introducing Megan’s online business ‘She Embraces It All’, a woman-only wellbeing service specialising in building self-acceptance and empowerment. Through online classes and memberships, she creates a safe space for women to take part in creative art experiences, meditation and movement practices, and creating a mind-body connection.

With one of her clients describing her services as ‘a warm loving hug’, Megan is keen to help as many women as possible who are suffering from modern day problems such as burnout, anxiety, and stress. She offers free, online self-care sessions on Zoom and her Instagram, with a membership option to attend creative, interactive workshops where women can connect, network, and share stories.

Megan was enrolled onto our Manchester-based Excelerate Labs programme where she was assigned 1-2-1 support with business advisor Yan. She also attended business planning, digital marketing, and leadership workshops to build her confidence and her skillset.

How has Excelerate Labs & your Business Advisor helped you to start or grow your business?

“Yan’s continuous enthusiasm for my creative ideas, coupled with her encouragement to develop a clear strategy and structure, has enabled me to leave my former career and to work full-time on my business with a new-found confidence that I will be able to support and empower other women, whilst earning a consistent and supportive income.

I lacked confidence in knowing where to start, and therefore lacked confidence in myself to make it all happen. With the support of The Women’s Organisation and Yan, my business advisor, I now have an extremely clear roadmap for my vision and a clear structure and strategy, not only to get my ideas up and running but to support the financial growth of my business in a way that feels sustainable and fulfilling.”

Is there anything else you would like to add about yourself, your journey, your business, and your future?

“Whilst I am still in the early stages of growing my new business, I have never felt more clear, more aligned, more passionate about my offerings and how these will support and empower other women.

For anyone considering whether to get in touch with The Women’s Organisation, please know that I very nearly didn’t. I told myself that my idea wasn’t ‘good enough’. I told myself that my ideas wouldn’t be taken seriously and that I wasn’t prepared enough to make it happen. Since the day I sent my first email to The Women’s Organisation and received the most encouraging and uplifting response, I could feel how excited The Women’s Organisation was for my vision and I have felt supported and celebrated ever since. To those at The Women’s Organisation, I barely recognise my life and how much it has changed over the past 6-8 months. I cannot thank you enough!”
