If you are passionate about a cause and want to get on board as a charity trustee, this course will help you to understand the journey.

If you are passionate about a cause and want to get on a board as a charity trustee, this course will help you to understand what a trustee is and the benefits of becoming one.

About the session

A trustee is an increasingly important role in the third sector and becoming a member of a board can be an enriching experience.

This course is packed full of useful information, advice & guidance on taking those first steps to become a trustee/ board member.

Some of the questions that will be answered:

  • How do I become a board member?
  • What tasks/duties are involved?
  • What skills do I need to be a trustee/board member?
  • Can I become a board member in any industry?
  • Is there an age limit/ expectation to become a board member?

Eligibility:

This programme is open to WOMEN living in the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens, or Halton).

As this project is funded by the European Social Fund, you will need to provide evidence of your right to work in the UK and fill in a registration form. One of our team will be in touch to collect this from you before the course starts.

Evidence includes:

  • Passport
  • National Insurance number card or letter from HMRC
  • Birth or adoption certificate
