Suicide Awareness

A single session to look at the issues surrounding suicide and tools to help you support friends, clients and colleagues.

It isn’t a conversation anyone wants , but it could be one of the most important conversation you ever have.

Introducing this new training session focusing on suicide awareness, funded through the European Social Fund.

About this training

This session will look at the issues surrounding suicide, with a focus on local data and local support.

After this session, you will:

  • Know how to support a colleague, client or friend
  • Feel confident to talk about suicide and address any myths and stigmas
  • Know how to ask the right questions and address emergency procedures and signposting

This course will help you look after yourself and look out for others.

The training will take place online via Zoom on Thursday 13th May, 10.00am – 12:00pm.

Eligibility

This programme is open to WOMEN & MEN living in the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens, or Halton) but please contact our team to check full eligibility.

As this project is funded by the European Social Fund, you will need to provide evidence of right to work in the UK and fill in a registration form. One of our team will be in touch to collect this from you before the course starts.

Examples of evidence you could provide includes:

  • Passport
  • National Insurance number card or letter from HMRC
  • Birth or adoption certificate

We will also need some evidence of your current employment status, but our team will discuss this with you based on your individual circumstances.
