Our Launchpad event will help you to understand the practicalities of starting your own business
  • Are you thinking of starting a business but wondering if it is possible in the current climate?
  • Are you looking for ways to build a new income for yourself and exploring self-employment as an option?
  • Do you have business ideas you’ve never yet looked into but think now could be the time to explore?

Our Launchpad event will help you to understand the practicalities of getting started as well as connecting you with entrepreneurs who have been there, done it and even re-adapted in the face of Covid 19.

Led by The Women’s Organisation this event is part of our Enterprise Hub programme, part funded by European Regional Development Fund and offering FREE advice and guidance to those living in the Liverpool City Region thinking of starting a business.

Claire Quayle – Clairilla

Clairilla work with other small businesses to build their websites, branding and offer marketing consultancy. Claire has over a decade of experience in the ecommerce and marketing field in fashion and beauty and was supported by The Women’s Organisation to set up her business.

Jasmin Royle – Karuna Wellbeing

Jasmin is the founder of Karuna Wellbeing. After suspending her studies due to illness, she decided to pick up a new skill leading her to spend two years working to maintain her massage qualifications. After working in various roles, she came to The Women’s Organisation to start working on her own vision and opened her business in July 2019.

Laura Kilgannon – Language Box Therapy

Language Box is an independent Speech and Language Therapy service providing specialist support to children and young people throughout Merseyside and Wirral aged 2-19 years. Laura has previously worked in a number of NHS trusts in the North West in community-based roles and at a Primary and Secondary School in New York for children with dyslexia and/or language-based difficulties. Whilst working in New York she became passionate about working with this age group specifically, and more recently managed a service for a complex caseload in a Youth Offending Service. At Language Box the primary aim is to unlock communication potential in every child through fun, accessible and creative therapy!

The event will take place on zoom. Please register via Eventbrite and a zoom link and password will be sent to you before the event by email.

Enterprise Hub support is available to individuals looking to start a business within the Liverpool City Region, or businesses under 42 months looking to grow in the Liverpool City Region.
