Launchpad: Starting a Business During a Pandemic (Start-up Conference)

Our Launchpad event will help you to understand the practicalities of starting your own business
  • Are you thinking of starting a business but wondering if it is possible in the current climate?
  • Are you looking for ways to build a new income for yourself and exploring self-employment as an option?
  • Do you have business ideas you’ve never yet looked into but think now could be the time to explore?

Our Launchpad event will help you to understand the practicalities of getting started as well as connecting you with entrepreneurs who have been there, done it and even re-adapted in the face of Covid 19.

Led by The Women’s Organisation this event is part of our Enterprise Hub programme, part funded by European Regional Development Fund and offering FREE advice and guidance to those living in the Liverpool City Region thinking of starting a business.

Book your free ticket now to join us and our panel:

Yan Miao – Business Adviser at The Women’s Organisation

Georgia Morgan & Jade Morgan – Propel PR

Propel PR is a multi-service PR and Communications agency owned and run by sisters Georgia and Jade Morgan. Having decided to leave behind their previous careers – Georgia in another PR agency and Jade in Fashion Buying and Marketing – the duo set about creating their business in March 2019, and building it up to work with some of Liverpool’s most renowned hospitality groups, business people and fashion and beauty brands.

Mikaela King – The Unwaste

Having worked across Marketing, Finance and Technology for a major online digital retailer for over 20 years, Mikaela found herself at a career junction in November 2019. Whilst taking some time out to explore what a different career path could look like, she came up with the idea of a milkman equivalent for household liquids. The Unwaste offers a bottle return and refill service to reduce plastic waste, uses products that are biodegradable, vegan and cruelty free and is on a mission to make greener living easier.

Nicky Leighton – Little Light Stitchery

The event will take place on zoom. Please register via Eventbrite and a zoom link and password will be sent to you before the event by email.
