Introduction to Net Zero for Small Businesses

Why reducing your carbon impact is now crucial to business growth, and what you can do about it

This event will be hosted by net-zero expert, 2030hub Director Stephen Sykes, a recent international award winner for climate action business support. Stephen has decades of experience guiding micros, SMEs, corporates, public sector and non-profit organisations on their environmental journeys. He also Co-Chairs St Helens Climate Change Commission and manages Lancashire’s £6m Chamber Low Carbon Programme.

2030hub is the world’s first United Nations recognised Local2030 Hub in the world and based in Liverpool!

It is our mission to help local businesses (tiny and big) and city leaders understand the biggest challenges and opportunities, and what roles organisations can, and should play. Our business is built around the globally agreed blueprint for the planet called the Sustainable Development Goals and a for-profit+social mission movement called B Corp – but adapted to be relevant in cities like Liverpool!

2030hub also recently launched, and already globally recognised, awareness campaign, pledge and support project called 2030zero (www.2030zero.com) to encourage all Liverpool City Region businesses to collaborate to create a community of bold, net-zero business leaders.

Please note, tickets for this event will close on Monday 7th February at 9am.

The event will take place on Zoom. Please register via Eventbrite and a zoom link and password will be sent to you before the event by email.

Enterprise Hub support is available to individuals looking to start a business within the Liverpool City Region, or businesses under 42 months looking to grow in the Liverpool City Region.
