In this current climate it is important to know what support and opportunities are avaiable for you. Whatever it is that you are looking for, whether that’s a job, self-employment support or personal developmnet, the support is out there.

The Women’s Organisation along with a panel of experts based in Liverpool will look at:

– An overview of services and support avaiable in Liverpool for women.

– What services and support is avaiable during lockdown

-Q&A covering such topics as:

  • Rudandancy
  • Self-employment
  • Financial struggles
  • Getting back into employment after a long break
  • Looking for new challenges
  • starting a business
  • Looking to volunteer

On the panel:

Gary Bell – DWP Partnership Manager

The role includes supporting Local Authorities, Landlords, Training Providers, Community Groups and the voluntary sector, acting as a link between DWP and these organisations to build and maintain relationships, deliver updates and support with the escalation of issues.

Julia McNally – Manager Liverpool in Work

Liverpool in Work offers a range of support for unemployed Liverpool residents aged 16+, from a variety of venues across the city, and remotely as required. They tailor the support to the individual needs of our customers,

Lauren Bailey-Rhodes – Director Of Operations – Transform Lives Company

Lauren oversees numerous employment and wellbeing programmes as well as being responsible for developing key partnerships and leading a successful team. With a wealth of practical experience and insight, she’s always keeping it real, making it happen.

Kerry Forsyth –Financial Capability Keyworker at the CAB Halton

Sandra Rudge – National Careers Service Team leader for Merseyside and West Lancashire areas

I work in partnership with DWP to support employers and individuals who are at risk of redundancy, identifying specific training needs that may be funded via DWP. Support with updating or creating a CV, support with competency- based and online applications, diagnostic skills assessments, and access to current vacancies and websites. Individuals are assigned to advisor caseload and supported on their journey.

Jo Mountfort- Programme Manager & Business Advisor -The Women’s Organisation

‘Change It: Renew’ a programme of support to help women across the Liverpool City Region to improve their resilience, coping mechanisms, and mental wellbeing.
