She has spoken at local and national autism events\, has had articles published by The Chartered College of Teaching and AuKids magazine and works to support autistic children locally and nationally. During lockdown\, Helen has been writing a book to help others to understand the issues and inequalities that autistic girls face and how we can empower this group of young people based on her workshops and is mum to four children aged between 3-20.  \n\nMarie Hall – Empowerment House  \nMarie Hall is the founder of EMPOWERMENT HOUSE\, which is a business dedicated and committed to the empowerment of females. This would have normally happened through delivery of the programme\, over a number of weeks to a cohort of women and also through networking events.\n \nWhen COVID hit\, EMPOWERMENT HOUSE had to pivot entirely to become an online business. What started as potentially the end of EMPOWERMENT HOUSE has been turned into it’s next chapter. It’s about empowerment.\n \nThe event will take place on zoom. After suspending her studies due to illness\, she decided to pick up a new skill leading her to spend two years working to maintain her massage qualifications. After working in various roles\, she came to The Women’s Organisation to start working on her own vision and opened her business in July 2019.  \nLaura Kilgannon – Language Box Therapy \nLanguage Box is an independent Speech and Language Therapy service providing specialist support to children and young people throughout Merseyside and Wirral aged 2-19 years. Laura has previously worked in a number of NHS trusts in the North West in community-based roles and at a Primary and Secondary School in New York for children with dyslexia and/or language-based difficulties. Whilst working in New York she became passionate about working with this age group specifically\, and more recently managed a service for a complex caseload in a Youth Offending Service. At Language Box the primary aim is to unlock communication potential in every child through fun\, accessible and creative therapy!  \nThe event will take place on zoom. DESCRIPTION:Teaming up with Citizens Advice and RAISE\, My Turn is a programme of support designed to help unemployed men and women in the Liverpool City Region focus on building a brighter future. The programme will support particpants to improve their confidence whilst exploring ways to gain a positive mindset.  \nMy Turn will be taking place at Southmead Children’s Centre running from 9:30am – 2:30pm \nOver the two sessions\, you will cover: \n\nLooking at your thought processes\, feelings and behaviours\nIdentifying personal visions to help in your relationships\nPositive thinking\nWhat is confidence and how to improve yours\nHow to build your self-motivation\nTechniques to tackle problem solving\n\n \nPlease note that there are wider dates across all areas and participants can attend any of these.
