DESCRIPTION:This three week accredited training programme will explore resilience and outline practical strategies we can put in place.\n\n\nDo you need a resilience boost and some practical strategies to strengthen those inner reserves during these challenging times?  \nIntroducing this new accredited training\, funded through the European Social Fund\, where you will complete one unit of a Level 2 qualification! \nAbout this training \nThis course is packed full of useful information and gives you the opportunity to reflect on how you are coping and points you in the right direction to move forward and bounce back. \n\nWhere does resilience come from? \nWhy is it important to have a positive outlook? \nHow do you keep things in perspective?\n\nThe training will take place online via Zoom in 3 sessions\, Friday 7th\, 14th & 21st May\, 10.00am – 12:00pm. \nEligibility \nThis programme is open to WOMEN & MEN living in the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool\, Sefton\, Knowsley\, Wirral\, St Helens\, or Halton).  \nAs this project is funded by the European Social Fund\, you will need to provide evidence of right to work in the UK and fill in a registration form. DESCRIPTION:This three week accredited training programme will look at how unconscious bias shapes the world around us and how we can tackle it.\n\n\nHow does unconscious bias shape our perspectives\, and how can we challenge it in our everyday life? \nIntroducing this new accredited training\, funded through the European Social Fund\, where you will complete one unit of a Level 2 qualification! \nAbout this training \nOver three sessions\, we look at where unconscious bias comes from and how it shapes the world around us.  \n\nReflect on personal biases and learn about ways to challenge and change the way you think. \nWhy do we tend to prefer people who are like us?\nWhat leads to stereotyping and how do we reinforce stereotypes without realising? \nWhy are some people constantly overlooked and excluded? \nCrucially\, what can we do about it?\n\nThese sessions give you the opportunity to start the discussion in an open and non-judgemental way and to identify positive action points. DESCRIPTION:This two-day course will help you to reflect on your past career history\, and help you to select your next step.\n\n\nThis course is open to men and women in The Liverpool City Region who are not in paid employment and are looking for support as they plan the next step in their career.  \nAre you ready for the next step in your career – but don’t know where to start? \nBusiness experts from The Women’s organisation can give you the support you need to reflect on your past career history\, and then help you to select the right path for your future. \nAcross two days our three-hour training sessions will give you the skills and guidance you need to make  a new start. In 2006 she was appointed Executive Producer of European Capital of Culture with responsibility for major events\, public participation and community engagement. \nClaire is a national and international advisor on best practice in Culture acting for Arts Council England and Ireland\, the British Council\, Local Government Association and as consultant advisor to the London Borough of Culture programme. She recently represented the UK Local Government in a UK Brazilian Cultural Policy Exchange funded by the Ministry of Culture in Brazil and the DCMS. A director on the Board of Derry/Londonderry City of Culture programme\, Claire is currently a Board Director for Galway 2020. \n\n\n\nKaya Herstad \nDevoted to artist development\, songwriting and performance coaching\, vocal habilitation and rehabilitation and singing teacher training\, Kaya has made a name for herself internationally as a highly sought-after vocal teacher\,  lecturer and Singer/Songwriter. \n \nKaya’s diverse portfolio career includes founding and being the artistic director of Threshold Festival in her Liverpool home\, and a general harmony fanatic and vocal geek with an interest in quirky instruments and new experiences. DESCRIPTION:This Launchpad event will help you to understand the practicalities of starting your own business\n\n\n\n Are you thinking of starting a business but wondering if it is possible in the current climate?\nAre you looking for ways to build a new income for yourself and exploring self-employment as an option?\nDo you have business ideas you’ve never yet looked into but think now could be the time to explore?\n\nThis Launchpad event will help you to understand the practicalities of getting started as well as connecting you with entrepreneurs who have been there\, done it and even re-adapted in the face of Covid 19. \nLed by The Women’s Organisation in partnership with BIPC Liverpool this event is part of our Enterprise Hub programme\, part funded by European Regional Development Fund and offering FREE advice and guidance to those living in the Liverpool City Region thinking of starting a business.   \nThe event will take place on zoom. Please register via Eventbrite and a zoom link and password will be sent to you before the event by email. \nEnterprise Hub support is available to individuals looking to start a business within the Liverpool City Region\, or businesses under 42 months looking to grow in the Liverpool City Region. \nMeet our panelists! \nRachel Gilbertson – Founder of Roxiie’s Treasures \n\n\n\nRachel Gilbertson is the owner of Roxiie’s Treasures\, which she started at the age of 19 back in 2013 with the help of The Women’s Organisation.  \nShe’s gone through having rented spaces to a shop of her own\, and selling at craft fairs and events and in other businesses selling handmade Crosby Beach and Liverpool themed cushions and gifts. She is also involved with Small Business Saturday UK.  \n \nChristina McDermott – Founder of Cattington \n\n\n\nChristina has over a decade’s experience of working in social media with some of the world’s best known brands. She established Cattington in 2017.\n \n \nHer work has seen her create social media strategy\, community management campaigns and branded content for Unilever’s portfolio of global food brands; including Knorr\, Stork margarine\, Flora\, Wall’s ice cream and Magnum. She has also worked on branded content and content strategy for Marks and Spencer\, RADA and Jaguar USA among others and provided community management and influencer outreach services to Pottermore\, General Mills\, Reckitt Benckiser and Danone.
