Understanding Tax and National Insurance can be a minefield when you start your own business and it's something that many women are fearful or confused about. Our course; Understanding Tax and National Insurance will help to alleviate that fear, and make sure you understand your Tax and National Insurance requirements.

From figuring out how to register with HMRC to understanding Business Allowances, there are a number of key guidelines and deadlines to be aware of.  Our half day Understanding Tax and National Insurance Course can help you to get to grips with everything you need to know to ensure you are being complient with HMRC guidance.

Understanding Tax and National Insurance Course

Whether you are a woman who is just starting her business, already running one, or working for an organisation where these skills are needed, this course can help you to develop those tactics and give your resources so that you can fully understand Tax and National Insurance guidalines for sole traders and business partnerships.

Understanding Tax and National Insurance will guide you through registering with the HMRC (Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs) and help you to understand your National Insurance requirements. We will also help you to understand what expenditure can be claimed as Business Allowance and how to pay HMRC, using support tools available to you, and also calculate the amount of tax that you need to pay.

This course, outside of helping you to Understand Tax and National Insurance, will ensure that you are up to date with the most current requirements, alleviate the fear and confusion that is related to this area of running a business. The Women’s Organisation has many resources which will simply show you how to submit your own self-assessment and prevent you from getting things wrong when you submit your tax information.

If you are registered on our Enterprise Hub Business Start-up Programme then you could be eligible for a fully funded place on this course, as the programme is supported by European Regional Development Fund.  Please speak to your business adviser for more information.
