Job Title: Compliance and Audit Co-Ordinator (initially one-year fixed term post, maternity cover)

Reporting to: Operations Director    

Salary Scale: £28,000 – £35,000 (dependent upon experience) plus auto enrolment pension contribution and 25 days holiday

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate coordination, leadership skills and capabilities and bring a well-developed understanding of the effective compliance and audit of ESIF partnerships and programmes.

You will be the key interface between our partnership and programme teams and the Leadership Team within the organisation.

You will be able to work with colleagues to review project delivery, quality and added value for clients. You will undertake final compliance and audit checks to ensure that robust and eligible claims are prepared that meet the commissioners needs and are ready for final sign off at senior level.

Working with the Partner Co-ordinators you will report regularly on partner and project performance to the SMT via regular reports and internal project meetings to enable effective partner and project management; partner performance in relation to activity and claims in line with their projected profile.

You will work closely and help guide Partner Co-ordinator to undertake monthly monitoring and compliance partner checks, particularly in relation to ESIF (European Structural and Investment Funds) and other funded programmes; prepare Project Change Requests and respond to commissioner audit requests.

Key Aspects  

Liaising and working closely to build and maintain strong networks within project partnerships and with individual project partners to ensure a successful project delivery and develop capacity for future opportunities.

You will be to prepare quarterly reports and funder claims submissions and undertake the necessary uploading and reporting processes.

Supporting, supervising, and checking the Partner Co-ordinator responses to funders audit requirements including desk checks and specific audits by funders.

Maintaining familiarity with all ESIF Guidance and ensuring that activity is in line with approved eligibility.

Undertake drafting, reporting and analysis of information to support project reporting, project design and potential delivery approaches.

Regular monitoring of partner delivery against agreed profiles, identifying potentials issues early and discussing with the partner remedial actions or possible reprofiling.

Undertake information/project information analysis reporting of partner figures; narrative reports and focus groups to assist with the evaluation of projects.

Support implementation of projects, services, or initiative through timely and relevant information analysis, in accordance with the agreed priorities of the SMT Team.

Supporting the management reporting and data collation process through the production of complex management information and board reports.

Ensure effective project compliance regularly reviewing and disseminating internally and externally updates to any funders guidance as needed.

Support ongoing project compliance and management including assistance with close down processes.

Lead and participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects to garner key strategic and project related information including:

Chairing regular partnership meetings, as required

Meeting with partners, as required, to discuss any issues; ongoing delivery; development opportunities best practice etc.

Propose changes to projects, services, or initiatives, informing policy and making recommendations for more effective delivery

Contribute to the review and development of existing project information management systems and contribute to the development of an integrated approach to project management

Where necessary support the marketing of projects with content identification; newsletter creation and social media posts.

To work in a flexible manner and as part of a team including evening and weekends as needed
