The Women's Organisation's Business Skills Academy brings you a series of masterclass events shining a spotlight on key social media marketing techniques to improve your business competativeness. Open to men and women, business owners and staff, these sessions will help you up your game when it comes to digital marketing strategy.

Learn from experts who have used a blogging platform to meet a cocktail of marketing demands, have successfully secured charitable funding from Google for Adwords Campaign, have put SEO (Search Engine Optimistion) techniques into practice to raise web pages from page 8 to page 1 of Google search results, and developed digital training programmes that are currently being used across the UK and Europe.

Content Marketing, Blogging and Understanding SEO for Business

Working with likeminded business owners and professionals, this day of training will help you understand how and when to use a blog for business, how to create online content that will breathe life into a blog while contributing to your SEO Strategy, and understand how to get search engines like Google to pick up your web content and place it ahead of your competition.

Please note that the day is split into two useful sessions to allow opportunity for you to focus on the key areas where you would like to upskill, so you can book just for the morning, just the afternoon or for the full day (saving £10).

Morning Session - Understanding the Basics of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) 9.30am-12.30pm

This session will cover:

Introduction to search engines including how they rank websites and how users use them and view search results Understanding how to conduct keyword research using Google and other free tools How to create an SEO Action plan What is On page SEO (including HTML Componants, Content etc.), On site SEO such as domains,taxonomy (structure & site maps), and Off page SEO (Links, Social Media, Blogging and other tools)?

Afternoon Session - Business Blogging for Beginners 1.30pm-4.30pm 

This session will cover:

Understanding different blogging tools and platforms available Understanding the purpose and direction of your business blog How to build great blog content and a following How to use a blog to establish your business brand

Attending both sessions will leave you with:

An understanding of how to set up and effectively use a blog to promote your business A basic knowledge of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and how to implement an SEO strategy for your website or blog Detailed handouts covering all aspects dicsussed in the course and additional instruction
